Forest Rangers FC is developing a community-based football approach for the 2012 season covering both coaches and players. First, we are implementing a coaching support structure managed by our experienced voluntary coaching coordinators. This program aims to provide coaches with assistance both on and off the training field through instilling the “Technique, Insight and Communication” (TIC) philosophy throughout our club. Coaches will be provided with training session programs, as well as being offered the opportunity for further football education through currently available FFA coaching certificates.
Second, we are instigating a player development program for all levels of ability within our club, whether you are a new player or one who is striving to win the championship! During the coming season additional skill sessions will be organised, where needed, to further the football pathway for players seeking to perform at a higher level.
With more organised support for our coaches and players we are continuing to foster our family-orientated approach to football in a safe and enjoyable environment, while expanding our club philosophy of skilled coaches and player development.
How can you get involved?
Any current or future members of our club are warmly invited to express an interest in coaching a male or female team from U6 to AA. We would like to finalise team coaches as soon as possible to facilitate implementation of this newly created coaching structure. Please email your interest to Matt (Youth Development Officer): frfcskills@live.com.au. Also, keep an eye on our website and Facebook page for further updates. We are one of the few clubs in the Association to be facilitating this type of program, so spread the word and join Forest Rangers FC in 2012!
