45th Anniversary / Fundraising Dinner

2012 marks the 45^th year of this stalwart club. We will be celebrating with a Gala Dinner at Maso’s on Saturday 21 July from 7pm. A mere $65 gets you food, wine and beer, entertainment, comedy, music and special guests, along with raffles and some massive auctions. All proceeds go back to the club (and ultimately to you!).

Mark the date in your diary and expect to be approached by your manager/coach or a committee member to purchase your tickets. If you want to register your interest in forming a table of ten please email forestrangerspublicity@gmail.com. Hurry, as we only have a limited number of tickets for sale and they are already selling fast!

Annual General Meeting 20 June

Our Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held on Wednesday 20 June. Proposals/suggestions for constitutional changes or life member nominations must be submitted in writing by Wednesday 9 May. These will be accepted via email to traceyalex@live.com.au, or to our postal address (see bottom of the website). These will be discussed at the pre-AGM on June 6. All meetings are held at Maso’s.

Coaches and managers meeting – THIS Wednesday

Reminder that the May Coaches and Managers meeting is scheduled for this Wednesday, 2 May, at Maso’s from 8pm. We have a lot of important items to go through so please make a huge effort to get there. Remember at least one representative from each team is required to attend. Wear your Maso’s shirts too!

Get out (and clean!) those old boots and shin pads

The St George Association has been contacted by a charity collecting soccer boots and uniforms to send to schools in Sierra Leon. If you have boots from last season which either don’t fit or are no longer fashionable (!) please keep them if they are in a wearable condition (it would be nice to clean them too). We will let you know where to drop them off as soon as we work it out.

Thanks in advance for supporting a worthy cause.

Please check the St George website for ground closures. Note that Gannon’s park is closed and all games that were to be held there this weekend are cancelled and will be rescheduled at another time.

Hi all. As mentioned in the newsletter, please double-check the draw for this weekend on the St George website. Some games have changed due to wet weather.

Also keep checking back as we get more news about grounds and wet weather – we’ll do our best to keep you up-to-date (BTW Gannons Park is still closed…).
