Vale to a wonderful man (and Rangers supporter)

Albert

Go Green!

After several long battles with cancer, last Tuesday we lost Alberto Crisante, a well-known Rangers’ identity as well as much-loved husband of Italia, father to Maurice, Daila and Pola, nonno to Troy, Dan, Allessio and Chiara, and father-in-law to DC.

For many, many years Albert spent every Friday carefully marking out the lines at Gannons Park, then every Saturday afternoon was spent making sure the linesman didn’t ruin his freshly marked lines, all while cheering on a son, grandsons, son-in-law and friends playing in the green and white.

Albert loved talking to Rangers players and supporters, young and old, at the football while drinking a beer or three, usually supplied by Berg! Tributes to Albert from Rangers have been flowing, including these:

“[Albert was] the ultimate gentleman who had time for everyone. I enjoyed seeing him following his sons, grandsons and other family members play the great game.”

“A wonderful man, a rare gem, loved chatting to him at the football.”

” [I] have fond memories of him from our teenage years.”

“A terrific family man!”

Rest in peace Albert – you will be greatly missed. xx
