Richo Cup – Monday 13th June
The Richo Cup will be held again this year at Gannons Park on Monday 13th June (the long weekend). It is an all-day event with the first game kicking off at 9am till all games are played. Participants are to arrive 8.30am SHARP.
A big thank you to the many clubs of the St George Football Association as we have up to 40 teams competing this year for the Richo Cup. Thank you also to our trusty Referees from the St George Football Referees Association who will also take part in this worthy event.
It is fabulous to have all clubs together on the field to unite for such a special occasion. Each player will receive a Richo Cup Health Awareness jersey to keep as a memento of the event.
There will be two special matches during the day: One between the Referees of SGFRA vs Presidents of Clubs in the SGFA and the other game featuring the St George Warriors.
This is a wonderful day out with the family but also a great opportunity to bring health awareness and encourage our footballers to get regular health checks and prevent more tragedies from occurring both on and off the football field.
There will be a jumping castle, fairy floss and small sided fields set up for the kids as well. So come along, bring a crowd, bring chairs/blanket & shade, food & drinks (and your own “adult drinks”). Full canteen facilities are also available all day.
Raffle tickets will be on sale, with mega prizes, and winners drawn on the day. Money raised will go towards Health Awareness organisations.
We also have a representative from Defib For Life and Vital Pulse at the park to run a quick course on First Aid including CPR and the use of the defibrillator for anyone interested.
If you have any questions concerning the event, please contact Tony from Forest Rangers Football Club on 0419 682 310.
