Commiserations to our 14C, AAD & 14GB teams who unfortunately lost their Grand Final games and to our 12A, AAWB2, AAWC, PL Reserves & O35A1 teams who did not make it to their Grand Final. All teams played with incredible spirit and should be proud of their achievements throughout the year and making into the Finals!
Both Comp & Non-Comp teams are all finished for the year – and what a successful year it was! They all showed fantastic enthusiasm for the sport and respect for their teams and other clubs which is a great ending to the season! Make sure you visit our Flickr site to see all the action during Season 2017.
Don’t forget, we have more celebrations in the coming weeks starting with our Senior Presentation night on Saturday 2nd September. Our Junior Presentation Day for Non-Comp & Junior Comp teams (up to U16) is on Sunday 10th September, where they will be receiving their trophies and we have a fun-filled day of activities planned. We had a presentation to our newest Life Member Bob Klinker. Congrats Bob!
The 3 veterans of 30 years Gus Warren, Tim Hooper & Dominic Donofrio, played and reminisced and we all hung out at Gannons till the sun went down.

We are so proud of all our teams who have made it into the finals this season. A special mention to our Minor Premiers AAD, AAF2 and 12B1.
There are a couple of other teams competing this weekend for minor premiers so good luck to those teams.
Our last weekend of the season is 19th/20th August but there is plenty to do over the next 3 weeks even if you haven’t made finals this season. So get down to the parks in your FRFC gear and support the teams who have!
For our FRFC Life Members & Committee, this Sunday 6th August we have our ‘Life Members Day’ at Gannons Park where we have our 2 O35A sides battling it out with each other at 1pm as the highlight.
On Saturday 5th August we have the St George Warriors ON TOUR at Gannons Park from 10am. Come and give them a cheer as they show off their football skills.
For the first time ever during the season, the St George Warriors will be playing their round 16 games this Saturday 5th August at Gannons Park!
The St George Warriors were established by Carss Park Football Club and is run by amazing volunteers Penny Hancock, Dianne Fyfe along with many others. This is a wonderful program that was introduced in 2014 and provides an opportunity for all children with special needs to participate in mainstream football. An awesome achievement with numbers of players growing every year!
We would love to see as many supporters as possible cheer them on at Gannons Park between 10am – 11:30am so spread the word! For people who know about the St George Warriors but have not seen them in action, this is the perfect opportunity to checkout how the program is run.
Only a few weeks to go to the end of the season – time flies when you’re having fun! We have locked in the following dates for some fun-filled events to celebrate another fantastic season!
Our Junior Presentation Day (U6-U16) is at Gannons Park on Sunday 10th September at 10am. All players will be receiving trophies and their pre-ordered team photos along with entertainment for the kids enjoyment.

What a brilliant Clinic we had last week – our biggest clinic yet! The weather was glorious and the playing conditions were excellent.
We would like to thank all the kids who participated in the Football Technique School Holiday Skills Clinic last week.
A big thanks to our talented and patient coaches Jono Nolan, David Cencigh (aka DC), Michael Dettman (aka Mick), Dominic Malizis & Blake Richardson. From all accounts, everyone appeared to enjoy themselves including the coaches!
The feedback from parents was positive and the clinic well received by the kids.
The clinic runs twice a year in April and July. For more info, visit the Holiday Skills Clinic page of our website and lookout for the upcoming clinic scheduled for April next year!
Again, thanks to all involved, especially the KIDS!
