Registrations for the 2024 season open January 3!

How to register?

Go to the Play Football online registration page and follow the prompts.

ALL players MUST have a PHOTO uploaded. Photos must be uploaded at the time of online registration. (Uploading a whole head photo from your smartphone is the easiest way to do this as it will resize automatically).

In 2024 Forest Rangers will be having a new playing and training kit. This will be distributed by coaches and managers closer to the start of the season.

As part of the Active Kids program, the NSW Government will provide a $50 voucher to parents/guardians of school enrolled children (aged 4.5-18 years old) in February. The $50 voucher can be used towards your registration. Visit the Office of Sport website for more details.  If you would like to claim your voucher for football, follow these steps during online registration:

  1. Apply for active kids voucher on Service NSW website by following the prompts.
  2. Register on MyFootballClub and input the voucher code on the payment page.

When will the Registration Days be held?

Our 2024 Registration Days will be held at St George Maso’s (Auditorium) on February 3 and February 4, from 11am – 3pm. Players will have their registration checked/confirmed.

If I registered online do I need to attend Registration Day?

  • All NEW players must come to have their proof of age confirmed.
  • All EXISTING players who have not paid registration fees online need to come to pay this.
  • All players wishing to receive the family discounts will need to attend the registration day to receive this.


What do I need to bring to Registration Day?

If you are a NEW player and have not registered to play football before, you will need to bring the following with you:

  • The ORIGINAL copy of your birth certificate, passport or Driver’s License
  • Registration fees (if not paid online)
  • A copy of your online registration
  • Your Active Kids Voucher

Please note it is preferred if all players REGISTER ONLINE before coming to a registration day.

How can I pay my registration fees?

Registration fees may be paid by card online when registering or on registration days by EFTPOS or CASH. Card fees do apply.

To receive the family discount you MUST attend Registration Day and get a refund (if you paid online) or to pay the reduced amount (if you didn’t pay online).

NB: Age is players age on 2024 birthday

NB: A $50 discount is available for school-aged players who qualify for an active kids voucher

At the beginning of the season, we hold our welcome BBQ, with a number of social activities throughout the season and to cap off a fun season we also hold our wonderful Junior and Senior Presentation events, just part of being with Forest Rangers FC!


What if I’m a Coach, Manager or RTO?

ALL coaches, managers and RTOs will also need to register with Play Football.

Football NSW has introduced a new Working with Children Check Policy.  From the 2018 season and beyond, it is a requirement of Football NSW that all Technical Directors, Coaches, Managers, Referees and other persons in child related roles working or volunteering with children under 18 years obtain a WWCC and provide their Club, Association, Centre, Branch or Referee Branch with a valid WWC number.

For this reason:

  • All volunteers will now require a WWC number; and
  • All referees,will now require a WWC number.
  • The only exemption for these roles recognised by Football NSW is the exemption for persons aged under 18 years.

To apply for a WWCC, visit the WWCCHECK Apply website to complete an online form, and complete your application by visiting your nearest Service NSW branch to get your ID checked. Once approved, your WWCC number will be emailed to you.  There is no fee if you are a volunteer, parent or carer.

When is my Team Selection night?

Please check our website from January for details of Team Selection dates and times. We will also supply this information on Registration Day. It is very important that you attend Team Selection Night so we can organise teams and get you in contact with your Coach and Manager. This is even more important for graded teams so that we can place you in a team of similar ability.

Donate your old boots!

If you have a spare set of football boots and no-one in your family to hand them down to, bring them along to donate to FRFC on our Registration Days.

We will clean up the boots and sell them for $5.00 each. All money raised goes to St George Hospital’s Cardiology and Coronary Care Unit.

A final word

Remember, even if you have registered and paid this doesn’t mean you are eligible to play or coach in 2024 until our Registrar has approved your registration. Therefore, if we don’t have the required paperwork, payment or information requested, as notified above, then we will NOT be able approve your registration and you won’t be able to play in pre-season trial matches or possibly for the initial games of Season 2024.
