How to Register
Go to the Play Football online registration page and follow the prompts.
There is a new Play Football system that requires all registration fees to be paid through the Play Football website/player account. Forest Rangers FC can no longer accept cash payments or bank transfers for registration fees.
ALL players MUST have a PHOTO uploaded. Photos must be uploaded at the time of online registration. Player photos must be portrait style (smiling is okay) but must not include any hats, including beanies, or glasses, including prescription. Uploading a whole head photo from your smartphone is the easiest way to do this as it will resize automatically.

Our Registration Help Days will be held at the Forest Rangers FC Clubroom at Gannons Park. Please see our Events page for upcoming dates. Committee members will available to help you navigate the Play Football website, register players and for any questions you may have. We will not be accepting cash payments for registration fees on these days – this must be completed through the Play Football website at the time of registration.
All NEW players must come to have their proof of age confirmed. Players who played for Forest Rangers FC in the previous season do not need to attend if their registration, payment and photo have been submitted via their Play Football account.
If you are a NEW player and have not registered to Play Football before, you will need to bring the following with you:
- The ORIGINAL copy of your birth certificate, passport or Driver’s License
- A copy of your online registration (screenshots are fine), including payment.

Registration fees must be paid through the Play Football wesbsite. We can no longer accept cash payments or bank transfers. If you are experiencing financial difficulty and would like to discuss options please contact: president@forestrangersfc.com.au.
Family discount prices are listed underneath our registration fees on this page. Please note – to receive the family disocunt, the full fee for each player must be paid first, through Play Football. Once this is completed, please send player names and the nominated bank account details to secretary@forestrangersfc.com.au for the family discount amount to then be transferred back to your nominated account. **ALL PLAYERS MUST BE REGISTERED UNDER THE SAME PLAY FOOTBALL ACCOUNT TO BE ELIGBLE FOR THE FAMILY DISCOUNT.
During our Registration Help Days, and on other selected afternoon/evenings in February, we will have the Clubroom open and committee members there to hand out playing kits/gear. Please keep an eye on our website, Facebook and Instagram pages for updates. Training shirts are on order and we will update our players when this becomes available to collect.
Please check our website, Facebook and Instagram from January for details of Team Allocation dates and times. We will also supply this information on Registration Help Day. It is very important that you attend Team Allocation Nights so we can organise teams and get you in contact with your Coach and Manager. This is even more important for graded teams so that we can place you in a team of similar ability.

$30 discount for 3 players from same family

To receive the family discount you MUST pay the full registration fee of all players. Once this is completed, please send player names and bank account details to secretary@forestrangersfc.com.au and the family discount amount will be transferred to your nominated account.
***PLAYERS MUST BE REGISTERED UNDER THE SAME PLAY FOOTBALL ACCOUNT.
NB: Age is player’s age on 2026 birthday – e.g. a player turning 8 in 2026 is considered U8s.
A final word
Remember, even if you have registered and paid this doesn’t mean you are eligible to play or coach in 2026 until our Registrar has approved your registration. Therefore, if we don’t have the required paperwork, payment or information requested, as notified above, then we will NOT be able approve your registration and you won’t be able to play in pre-season trial matches or possibly for the initial games of Season 2026.
Social Events
At the beginning of the season, we hold our welcome BBQ, with a number of social activities throughout the season and to cap off a fun season we also hold our wonderful Junior and Senior Presentation events, just part of being with Forest Rangers FC!
Coach, Manager & RTO
ALL coaches, managers and RTOs will also need to register with Play Football.
Football NSW has introduced a new Working with Children Check Policy. From the 2018 season and beyond, it is a requirement of Football NSW that all Technical Directors, Coaches, Managers, Referees and other persons in child related roles working or volunteering with children under 18 years obtain a WWCC and provide their Club, Association, Centre, Branch or Referee Branch with a valid WWC number.
For this reason:
- All volunteers will now require a WWC number; and
- All referees,will now require a WWC number.
- The only exemption for these roles recognised by Football NSW is the exemption for persons aged under 18 years.
To apply for a WWCC, visit the WWCCHECK Apply website to complete an online form, and complete your application by visiting your nearest Service NSW branch to get your ID checked. Once approved, your WWCC number will be emailed to you. There is no fee if you are a volunteer, parent or carer.
